see the problem form a prognosis: devise a plan to practice & promote prosperity.
It's hard to believe that it took me more then 60 years, maybe half of my life to discover, "that I learned life wrong." What I mean is that I learned it in the wrong context or perspectives in feelings not in facts. Facts have no agenda; so hopefully I am open and perceptive enough to accept them. Unfortunately, till recently, the way I saw, interpreted, prioritized or incorporated the facts of life were 180 degrees out of position, even though I viewed them in sharp focus. Now I"m convinced that it's more important how we see something then what we see. Sight is deceptive. We all have and believe in our own personal truths but ultimately they may not be true. Where did that expression come from anyway? It sounds more like confirmation bias. Which is when we seek out information that only confirms what we previously believed. In our society we sell sex, but what we really want to buy is intimacy. We sell drugs but what we really want is a happy state of mind. We sell entertainment but what we really want is stimulation. We sell the tangible as if it were sourced from other tangibles. But the fact of the matter is that the core composition of all tangibles are sourced from the intangible. This is why life's journey is the best part not the destination. Unfortunately the best parts are often missed because we fail to recognize them as (during/while) we experience them. Many of us consider the effort involved with achievement as tedious or undesirable. The struggle, the effort getting there is the most gratifying and exciting aspect of our existence. How we see is more important the what we see. Up till now it seems like I've been standing on my head! It's a matter of focus. We have a tendency to focus on a thing (manifestation) (physical, resultant) (what we see) (the finite tangible action) or its effect which is secondary. Without seeing the essence (source of the substance, cause of thought, energy) of the thing which is primary. In short we tend to focus on the substance rather then focusing on the source of the substance. I finally have gained an appreciation the interconnection of life and how "ALL THINGS" are interdependent. This concept applies to every part of life and every science governing it. Any one with a bit of electronics knowledge has heard of transformers. Transformers are those big heavy cube shaped blocks with wires usually found inside of the cabinet of many electronic devices close to the power cord. Many people are unaware that a transformer passes electricity from one side of it to the other without any connecting wires or physical contact. Transformers have two separated sides called primary and secondary. These two individual ends are only coupled (connected) by magnetic waves when power is applied. We like transformers, when empowered to act upon anything, will have multiple effects upon everything in our environment. Physical contact is not necessary to impact the other inhabitants of our planet; as we are spiritual beings in human bodies with intellectual minds. Believe it or not, It's fact, the way we think about and treat one another is reflected in all of nature. Now that I've chosen to embrace the circle of life I have begun to understand the "cycles of exchange" in nature and commerce. Exchange is the way of life! All of life is interconnected and functions through mutual exchange. It is not necessary to have a win lose scenario for exchange only a mutually acceptable trade off. I understand how to save money, make money and flip money but I never understood investing; especially what a financial investment was. In reality many instances of what we deem as an investment is not really investing at all, it is more like gambling. I*N*V*E*S*T*I*N*G requires interest in, involvement with and insight about whatever person, object or opportunity we believe in. It is akin to believing in God and committing to that belief regardless of the circumstances. It is also like a marriage is suppose to be. The operative word is "in." Leveraging, up-selling, mark ups, and marketing are techniques for making a profit. Most of these financial instruments and techniques are characterized as investment strategies but are they really investments? Real life long investments are not monetarily motivated, although most are financially backed. We invest in our children, families and causes regardless of their current status or condition. Most of us are committed for the long haul. We're in it to win it! True investments are tied into some believed or perceived truth. The best investment we can make in this life is in people, mainly one another.
