![]() Mistakes are miraculous they correct and inform us when we listen to them. However they must be created by us to work for us. These portals of discovery should be heralded as the energy behind the action taken. Being willing to make them, engage with them and own them allows us to gain the full benefits of their effect. Mistakes are the road map for progress. Mistakes may be assertive or aggressive with the energy of their actions; that "energy" should never be punished - just corrected! Disobedience is different and can be penalized because of the deliberate nature of the infraction. Mistakes seem to get a raw deal when it comes to their reputation. One of the reasons we shun them is because they are generally treated badly. Birds of a feather tend to flock together so being around mistakes may get us treated just like them. For some reason most of us tend to hate mistakes. Sometimes not only are the mistakes hated but anyone involved in pointing them out may be hated too! Mistakes are as common as decisions. The fact is that all mistakes start out that way. It is important to remember that everybody "makes" mistakes but we don't "do" them. The mistake is the action taken not the person who takes the action. Our competitive society equate mistakes with losing. As such our children tend to see themselves as losers if they are unsuccessful. As long as we are discussing mistakes it is important to apply some "word math" to highlight distinctions between errors and mistakes. We may call them"honest mistakes" or "tragic errors" but only the outcomes are similar. ![]() Errors should never be compared to mistakes except in their final results. Errors are separate, unique and distinct actions with different causes and consciousness. Errors by their very nature are difficult to recognize by those who commit them. They are defined as errors because an error is basically an unrecognized mistake deemed to be correct. Errors require some level of reproof to reeducate and correct assumptions, while mistakes may only call for additional application and/or guidance. "Great Mistakes" are always dealt with not buried. "Buried mistakes" are simply seeds that will spring up again as new mistakes but will have taken the form of errors. Seeds always produce the same of its kind. When Mistakes are acknowledged and embraced they take a corrected form. When errors are denied and allowed they in turn produce more errors. The very nature of an error always works against us because they are by nature deceitful. Only an error can continue to deceive us after it is exposed to truth. Even a mistake can be used for blame or weaponized against us if we don't embrace it. The biggest hindrance to mistakes is blame. Blame along with guilt and shame will prevent mistakes from teaching us lessons. To discourage mistakes is to discourage learning. One mistake we make in life is that so many of us erroneously use shaming. We use shaming as a weapon in arguments, discipline and competition. Shaming, which is another form of bullying is effectively demeaning. Shaming works by causing, making or labeling a condition/act of being or doing as deplorable. The "control we gain" through shaming comes at the expense of the "empathy we lose" through not caring or understanding. ![]() Lets examine a word math formulas to further define the relationship between errors and mistakes. (E=MC2) Errors are characterized by a state or condition which causes that error consistently regardless of sincerity or effort. The byproduct of error will always compound itself through repeated bad choices in conduct or judgement. In this case the "word math relationship" with errors and mistakes is affected by whether it is repeated or corrected. A mistake is an error we can "see" absent of arrogance. Errors works invisibly and always "blinds" us to our mistakes. (E=MC2) An Error is a Mistake Doubled but not Corrected.) Our formula is just like Einstein's. E which stands for error equals M which stands for mistakes multiplied by C standing for no Correction multiplied by itself (2) or squared. The "easiest mistakes" to make are the habits of thought repeated daily, like the intolerance of other beliefs. The "best mistakes" to make are the one we instantly learn from, like spitting into the wind. The "hardest mistakes" to make are the ones we cannot remedy like losing opportunity or life. The "GREATEST MISTAKES" are the ones we string together to create our personal manual for living and understanding life. "Correctly" making the greatest mistakes - makes life great! It may seem that we are advocating the more the merrier - and we are. More mistakes are a by product of more experiences which in turn creates more corrections. We must acknowledge that there is no such thing as perfection and as such improvements are inevitable corrections. We've already defined making the "same" mistake repeatedly as error. Committing mistakes openly, owning them, and addressing them is the correct and most powerful way of benefiting from them. Here's how to correctly make the "greatest mistakes" of a lifetime. First we must expect to, but not mind making mistakes. Next we have to make and recognize genuine mistakes. Finally we have to learn the lesson(s) the mistake teaches us. That's it, look for it, be honest about it, find it and feel free to make more of them; unlike the girl who never made mistakes.

![]() Everything communicates. This encompasses all forms of matter and energy including thoughts, rocks and rain. Even what we perceive as silence has its own language. Once we become aware of the presence of a conversation then we can listen to and participate in it. It is important to understand that throughout existence multiple messages are being constantly sent. Can you read between the lines? Whether psychic (spiritual), observed (visual), discerned (intellectual) or taught (instructional); the energy of enlightenment shines towards us whether we acknowledge it or not. What many of us may not understand is that much of our power is wielded through the mathematics of our words. Like any of life's problem we figure out how to negotiate our way through them by solving for a desired solution. That is the basis for math. Unfortunately most of us underrate or lack an understanding of what mathematics really encompasses. Math has an ever broadening scope of applications. It is a universal language, form and energy that works within the substance of all existence. There is no generally accepted definition for mathematics. ![]() Although we are referring to math, For just a moment stop thinking about numbers. Yes numbers are a part of math but that is just one part among many. Math includes the study of topics like quantity, structure, space and change. Many models of mathematical reasoning render mathematical proof of phenomena we're not be able to deduce with other senses. Let's for the moment bypass much of the historical progression of math. Most of us know about both sign and body language, but few of us appreciate "math language." We should view mathematics as an ever increasing series of abstractions starting with simple counting from arithmetic to algebra, trigonometry, geometry and calculus. This does not exclude astronomy, physics and a host of other sciences. Aristotle defined math as the "science of quantity" while Gauss referred to it as the "queen of sciences." Today we are applying the power of math to words. The weight of our words adds us into life like the melodies of our music. Math is magical or should we say miraculous. There are many aspects to math. The four "thinking" math standards are problem solving, communication, reasoning, and connections. The "content" math standards are estimation, number sense, geometry and spatial sense, measurement, statistics and probability, fractions and decimals, and patterns and relationships. Math should be described more like a person than a thing. To confine math only to numbers is like confining all of sports only to baseball! Is there any such thing as a magic spell? Harry Potter followers might say yes. A spell is defined as a series of words that have some type of magical power! What series of words can we put together that by themselves create results? Is it the words themselves or the author of the words that makes them powerful? And what about the written word? Is a letter, article or blog as powerful as the spoken word. Can we really curse or cure someone or something and in fact change its destiny? A declaration, like the Declaration of Independence, contains a powerful expression of words that disseminates the spirit of freedom. Is there a formula of words we can use to make things happen? Or maybe the question should be how do we form our words so that they cause things to happen? Math has its own power and language with or without words. Every facet of life functions within its own endowed mathematical formula. In the "math of life" we are led by lessons, in the "math of conversation" we are led by listening and in the "math of the internet" we are led by links. Math is in everything if we care to or dare to recognize it. ![]() This is a "practicing" blog and as such we endeavor to present examples and things to try in practical living. Like music and poetry "word math" has rhythms. Let's be clear we are not advocating that there are magical words or a series of words that in and of themselves will perform any task or cause things to happen. We are not referring specifically to numerology. We simply desire to express that words have power and math has power. When we combine the two we knowingly or unknowingly are exponentially increasing the effect of both. Tonality, body language, the atmosphere or environment and many other factors play a role in word math. It all adds up. The time, the way, the intent, and the words that express them. Let's math some common words and expressions as examples. Two of the most powerful words we can combine are "I" "AM." But before we deal with the most powerful expressions let's examine some common everyday ones. In the choreography of life we are bombarded with and highly influenced by certain words. They are called "power words," and are used by "copywriters" to trigger an emotional or psychological effect. These words are so persuasive that people simply cannot resist being influenced by them. Follow this mathematical arrangement of the letters in "Words." Putting the last letter first makes "sword." A sword was intentionally designed to be a weapon. Every word is specifically weaponized. All words have their own distinct and intentional definition and use. Each and every word has an etymology (the study and history of words) which makes every word individually intentional. This means that "words," are then meant to be used intentionally. Words can be used to compel, amuse, instruct, heal or harm. They work as single building blocks creating a structure of thought. By combining (stringing) words together scientifically they will produce an energy to accomplish their message. There are different groups or categories of "power words" that when properly structured create predictable results. The "EMOTIONAL" category contains groups like LUSTS, GREED & CURIOSITY. These groups enlist words like astonishing, daring, enchanting, exclusive, luxurious, passionate and unbelievable to draw our attention through emotional stimuli. All seven of those words seemingly fit into all three of those groups. The "TRUST" category contains groups like AUTHENTIC, ENDORSED & GENUINE. These three groups employ phrases like best selling, guaranteed, money back, no obligation & no risk. The "URGENCY" category contains groups like CLOSING, GOING OUT OF BUSINESS, LAST & LIMITED. Anxiety creates urgency and no one wants to miss out. So it should be easy to see that whether we are aware of it or not "power words" are being used all around us. Take note that even liars will use the word "ABSOLUTELY" as a powerful yes. There are so many ways to manipulate "power words." Whether its our data, our language, or our beliefs; it is subject to the scrutiny of math. The power of "math" multiplied by the power of "words" and exponentially applied to "data" has unlimited potential. The old tools work even better when the new rules are properly applied. The rules are not really new just newly applied and practiced. The "power words" "I" "AM" are possibly the most powerful expression in the human language. These words are the instant embodiment of what they attach themselves to. We can embody any state of existence with the "I" "AM" command. If we want to be tired, we can go around expressing how exhausting life is or simply say repeatedly "I'm Tired." Try it without any external stimuli. "I AM TIRED, I AM TIRED" By going around declaring how tired we feel for a whole day we are guaranteed to feel tired or at minimum make others feel that way. "I" "AM" is a self reinforced power statement with two declarative "power words" of equal force. "I" "AM" very SERIOUS about the power of these words combined and used in this order. "I" "AM" is like putting bullets in a gun or adding fuel to a fire. "I" "AM" AFRAID is not simply acknowledging fear "IT" "IS" fear itself. "I" "AM" is so often overlooked that I am not going to discuss it further. Here's a bit of insight for the wise. Most unskilled users of power words generally stick to the seemingly impressive three or more syllable ones rather than the short powerful more concise ones. This is probably why the most common word or phrase used to produce magical results is A-B-R-A-C-A-D-A-B-R-A. ![]() Some might ask, where is the logic, the common sense or theory of this living energy called math. In this case common sense is math intuitively embraced and logically understood by us acting out its definition into existence. All of life is not presented to us in a visibly tangible form. We generally only acknowledge the life forms that we can touch or see. This is a shortsighted idea of the universe. What of fire, water, wind, light, particles, waves and other forms of energy around us. There is always a math process behind everything we do. Although we have focused primarily on the "math of words." Just remember that There is power in our deeds, our words and how we practice the "math of living." ![]() Believe in miracles? Keep reading. Don't believe that Jesus performed them, then STOP reading right now. This post may feel offensive to anyone who sees science and religion as two separate things. There is a scientific and technical side to religion as well as a spiritual side to science. Although most people separate the two they are intricately intertwined together. Everything in the universe exists in a manner that at some minuscule level impacts EVERYTHING else. Jesus introduced and represented a revolutionary scientific way of thinking, saying and doing. Some of the same results achieved by science and medicine today were reportedly demonstrated by Jesus in a day and time where superstitious, mysticism and magical beliefs were logically infused with science and religion. It's still easy to believe that the sun rotates around the earth based on simple observation. But that logic is as faulty as the theory of gravity in that day. Jesus was most likely regarded as an antagonist by the religious, scientific and government authorities of that era. The doctrine (teachings) of Jesus still threaten today's civil, technical and religious authorities and organizations. Think of all of the denominations in Christianity alone; is it not the new testament teachings of Jesus and his disciples at the core of differences and controversies? The scope of Jesus teaching were universal. Remember John 3:16 says God so loved the world - Not only the newly formed church, not just the bloodline of Israelite's, not really any one particular type or kind of people, but all people, even the most rebellious ones. It was this "scientific method" of inclusion from exclusion that could not be refuted by the rulers of that day or this one. The scientific method is an empirical method of acquiring knowledge that has characterized the development of science since at least the 17th century. Grafting together disparate genus of people, cultures and religions was unheard of. However the combination of his revolutionary theology combined with scientific and philosophical truths spoke for themselves. The wisdom of Jesus' logic could not be challenged. Logic whether abductive, deductive or inductive is learned/applied experimentally, instructively and intuitively. Technology is the application of scientific knowledge. How we apply logic with technology depends on multiple factors including reasoning, critical thinking, intuition, and training. Leaning towards our own understanding makes it even more difficult to get a proper perspective. The "scientific method" introduced by Jesus has spiritual attributes. It's hard enough for us to get out of our own way not withstanding the fact that we are constantly being bombarded by visually stimulating images designed to produce various feelings. The "scientific method" involves careful observation, applying rigorous skepticism about what is observed, given that cognitive assumptions can distort how one interprets the observation. Many of the things Jesus did which were considered miracles at that time might not be viewed in that way today. I'm sure the people of that time, unaware of electricity, would have been amazed by a simple flashlight. Just by higher knowledge - apart from all else - Jesus possessed superior capabilities. Knowledge is power! Jesus' scientific knowledge alone had to have been incredible! As far as which acts - and whether they were miracles or not - who's to say. But I'm sure that most of his actions seemed miraculous. In general religious people aren't science minded and scientist are not religious; but even that is changing. The gulf this creates limits our fundamental ability to explore and fully appreciate creation from a holistic perspective. Science is simply "the systematic and orderly arrangement of knowledge." To confine this definition only to the visible tangible aspects of life is to limit science itself. Science today reaches out into the galaxies and even beyond into parts of the universe we have yet to reach and can barely see. How is it that we can identify with Star Trek and all of its twists on various forms of life visible and invisible, but can't reconcile science and spirituality in our own world. We are spiritual beings in human bodies with intellectual minds. The science of Jesus' teachings are quoted daily. Some examples are knowing a tree by the fruit it bears, turning the other cheek, loving our enemies and acting altruistically without letting our left hand know what our right hand is doing. Yes there is a method to the madness; there is a science to his sayings. To believe anything about Jesus without believing in miracles is contradictory. The miracles were a part of the ministry. They defined him, helped to establish him and were a huge part of what made him controversial. ![]() When Jesus continued to defy the established religious, civil and scientific authorities of that day his enemies were made into friends or at least into allies. Perhaps the enemy of an enemy is a friend. I often say that all the inhabitants of this planet will come together as soon as a common enemy from another planet threatens us all. I expect that after we repel our common enemy we'll go right back to infighting. Performing those "so-called" miracles must have caused quite an uproar in that day. How do we categorize, define or discredit a miracle? If the results are irrefutable but the source or cause can be considered questionable discredit the source or subject! Whenever we are persuaded by our biases we tend to look only for what "that perspective" shows us. Isn't this what is prevalent in today's politics. The religious leaders tried to explain it, The government had not sanctioned it and the scientific knowledge of that day could not account for it. Those miracles caused quite a stir because the evidence of them remained even after Jesus departed. Among the doctrines of that day there were three main philosophies that characterized Judaism. Just like Christianity today, disagreements in interpretation created these sects. Although the core beliefs were the same; there were the Pharisees, the Sadducee's and the Essenes. It was only the Sadducee's that did not believe in life after death or the resurrection. But when Jesus started raising DEAD PEOPLE the enemy of their enemy made them all friends. Can you imagine Jesus acting like a defibrillator and/or performing CPR! The fact is that these acts didn't occur within a few minutes after calling 911. In most instances there would be hours, days and maybe even weeks from the time someone died to the time Jesus RAISED THEM! This is why We started "this post" with a warning. There is a science of miracles, faith, and other spiritually discerned events. The miracles Jesus performed were not magical, there was and is a science behind them. Lazarus was simply one example of raising DEAD PEOPLE. Think about the finality and hopelessness of death that people experience. Imagine a rumor spreading across the internet going viral and proclaiming that the dead can be revived; not as zombies but restored to their former physical existence. If there were a sliver of truth to that rumor grieving people carrying corpses would flock to the source. Well what do we think happened back then? Most of us do believe in miracles within the limits of practicality. Perhaps the reason we rarely hear of someone truly and miraculously being raised from the dead is because just like faith being a part of fact it just doesn't make sense to us. Try practicing radical thinking while embracing the scientific method of believing that operates in faith through the invisible substance of hope. I believe that the first miracle Jesus truly performed came through the conviction of preaching. He inspired people to do the one thing he could not do for them. That was and is to change their thinking and thereby change their mind. |
