see the problem form a prognosis: devise a plan to practice & promote prosperity.
There are certain practices that if applied will optimize both our health and wealth. However true prosperity can only be achieved by observing and then applying particular principles. Prosperity in its best definition has elements of both health and wealth. Prosperity is a state of success characterized by a perpetual sense of accomplishment. There is one caveat for prosperity and that is collaborative interaction. Prosperity requires a communal perspective that must be shared with colleagues and constituents. The Sharing component is the most difficult aspect to grasp. Traditionally we associate prosperity with personal or individual success, but this is a misnomer. Understanding basic etymology, which is simply the study of the origin of words and the way in which their meanings have evolved, speaks volumes. The suffix "ity" which was derived from old french and latin is used with uncountable nouns to express plurality. Further study will reveal that the addition of the "ity" implies an enhancement of that words "state" such as able to ability. Anyone with two arms should be able to lift something; but a weight lifter has developed the ability to raise even heavier objects by combining and refining muscles. Expanding on this thought introduces us to the notion that this suffix enhances the root word it is attached to making it actionable. Consider agile and agility, noble and nobility, even real and reality as examples of the power of connective plurality. It is difficult for us to buy into a new idea that can work for us, if we cannot plainly see how that idea functions in the lives of others. Plurality, notice the I-T-Y, is a concept that must be applied in life business and politics. Explore these four levels of reliance in the labor and services continuum. There is dependence, there is independence, there is co-dependence and there is interdependence. At each level there is a symbiotic relationship established between entities. We will explore them through a parenting model. At the dependent level the symbiosis is comparable to that of a parent and baby which may lean toward parasitism. At the independent level some form of emancipation begins, the weaned child establishes personal identity, while gradually expanding and developing other relationships. This may be comparable to symbiotic commensalism. At the codependent level the child/parent relationship evolves to symbiotic mutualism where the interactions benefit both parties & may be defined as an obligatory association. Interdependence is a synergistic relationship that surpasses even the highest codependent affinity. This scenario defines the ultimate interaction between two or more parties where the combined effects are greater than the sum of the individual separate effects. This is synergism which may be described as a beneficial voluntary association. True prosperity is inclusive! The character of our relationships are the foundation for prosperity and peace. By nurturing others we declare that they belong to us and demonstrates their value to us. Being a part of their network in turn will give us value to them. This results in attracting others, along with their following, to us! The addendum of followers must know that they are valued as well. Therefore we must learn to be great communicators or find and supplement our lack of communication skills with other people or instruments. The challenge is to anticipate and see where the world is going and meet it there. Most of the time our world doesn't see where it is heading. As influencer's our primary mission is to combine and apply the necessary components to awake, inform and reveal the road and location of the new destination. As our interactions become an educational tool for our customers, colleagues and constituents; the potency of our products and services will sell themselves. Proper presentation precedes placid prosperity. When we stress what is in the best interest of others, care takes precedent over cash and prosperity takes priorities over profit. We need a collective combined collaboration of partnering to prepare and properly proceed. The power of pooled perspectives will enlighten us. If the nine principles listed in this paragraph are observed the tenth principle stated here will reveal itself plainly. The golden rule doesn't require us to mine gold to prosper, it may simply move us to supply the means for others to mine. We can only consider our efforts as a failure when we give up. Every failure is only temporary. Failure may be defined as a force of hesitation or motivation. Failure may be used fall backwards or fight forward. Every action has an accompanying effect. To be effective remember "The Killer Bee's." BE PRESENTABLE, BE PERSONABLE, BE PROFESSIONAL, BE PRACTICAL, BE PATIENT, AND BE PERPETUAL. The affect of the effect is in our hands.

RESPONSIBILITY simply implies ownership. There is no gray area. We are either part of the solution or part of the problem. If we fail to take a stand on basic things we are susceptible to fall for anything. But when we hold a firm position on anything we tend to close our minds. This may seem to be a "Catch 22," but it is simply the way of life. Our lives should exhibit evolutionary personal growth through a continual process of gaining greater understanding. We must create checks and balances through other sources and people we've empowered to detour us off of the dead end roads and one way streets we get stuck on. If we seek to expand our understanding, we'll realize that knowledge and the ongoing process of life never stays fixed at one point or on one view in time. The precision of our perception comes through self critique and external examinations. We need to empower personal authoritative mentors in our lives. As "Iron sharpens Iron" there is no substitute for the power that comes from evaluating disagreements. These occasions often serve to sow the seeds of understanding while cultivating fresh ideas and creating new concepts from the garden of our minds. Neighborhoods do not create crime or poverty. Although it is a contributing factor, poverty does not create bad neighborhoods. The environments found within poor neighborhoods materialize as a result of the consciousness and culture of the people living in them. We can site a cause, take a stand or silence our voice on anything. We will either manifest or mask our position. There is no straddling the fence. Our failure to stand up creates the conditions for falling down. Our moral standards will be tested by social and environmental factors. We have the right, authority and ability to pick our battles and choose our battlefields. Maintaining a standard and standing up for truth is "keeping it real." We must not let our guard down for anyone. Don't cosign the crime! Speak and act against it. Silence is cowardice! NEVER compromise a standard. Remember blame focuses outward. Responsibility focuses inward. How we relate to our teaching and environments will shape our perceptions and attitudes. Today many of us find it hard to be real. It is easier to put up a "front" or a "racket." This is what we hide behind, playing the game of deceptive show and tell. We show one face to public scrutiny but our life tells another story behind the scenes. We protect our secret lives but are simply as sick as our secrets. Ironically most of the issues we view as problems come as a result of viewing life through the filter of an illegitimate belief system. As we grow and gain a greater understanding of how (the ways) the universe functions we are able to better function in it. Once we learn which things are truly open to our volitional control and which things are not, life is less problematic. This is the serenity we ask God to grant us that, "accepts the things we cannot change, gives us the courage to change the things that we can and the wisdom to know the difference." There is an ever evolving grand perspective (the forest) that can be perceived only by taking our eyes off of the smaller issue (individual trees). The caveat here is the will to shift our vision to that grand perspective (forest) without fear of losing sight of "our view" on current issues (trees). At some time or another we will discover that our minds are already "made up" regarding specific subjects. In that condition (state of mind) we tend to think that we already have an answer that encompasses the subject. As a result we are not interested in obtaining any further insight or understanding, but rather winning others over to our particular point of view. Many people define themselves through how others perceive them. Many of us were raised, taught or trained in a manner in which we learned to see failure as defeat. Caught up in a right /wrong or win/lose mentality we instinctively hide shortcomings, failures and mistakes. Failure is the best friend of improvement. Without mistakes how can we learn? Practice doesn't make perfect but it can make improvement. Acknowledgement by others is only one form of validation. Sometimes our efforts will have as much weight as our accomplishments. Every "effort" should be regarded as one step closer to the goal. This allows us to embrace enough self esteem to regard an "A" for effort as a "win" for trying hard. Our friend, "FAILURE" will alert us and instruct us if we embrace it. Our genuine earnest efforts should also serve as a buffer to provide consolation in the face of failing. People who practice winning at all costs; think to be a winner others have to see them winning. These are usually tit for tat "right fighters" who live in the fear that loosing lessens their worth. "Wise men don't need to prove their point; men who need to prove their point aren't wise." Yes the truth will make us free, as long as we make the truth a pertinent priority in our lives. It is easy to create an argument from ignorance. All we have to do is to form our own conspiracy theory backed by personal logic coupled with a strong belief. When the inclination to defend our point of view supersedes our desire for veracity we cut ourselves off from experiencing or discovering new truths. NOW'S THE TIME FOR INTERVENTION
AND HERE'S THE PLACE FOR US TO MENTION TODAYS THE DAY TO MAKE A STINK WE MUST EXAMINE HOW WE THINK DESPITE THE ISSUES LIFE MAY BRING JUST KNOW THAT THOUGHTS TURN INTO THINGS PERCEPTIONS JUST THE WAY WE SEE NOT A-C-T-U-A-L-L-Y AS THINGS MIGHT BE WE NEED TO MAKE A NEW DECISION TO GAIN INSIGHT AND CATCH THE VISION OPEN OUR MINDS TO LET THEM GROW AND QUESTION ALL, WE THINK WE KNOW Not speaking up is ordinary. It takes special people to take a stand. As Christians we sometimes forget or fail to recognize our position within the universal warfare we are apart of. As the "salt of the earth" our work of seasoning is never done. The combination of spices used in preparing different plates varies from cook to cook, culture to culture, and dish to dish. The task of making a meal which is nutritious and palatable is one of life's greatest responsibilities. Proper sustenance supersedes every other bodily need in this lifetime. Jesus knew that physical nourishment went hand in hand with spiritual enlightenment. The feeding of thousands added a sense of physical well-being as he taught the lessons of life. A master chef knows how to work with any available source of nourishment. Too much or too little of any spice can change the allure of the food digested by the masses. Feeding and eating are daily necessities and must be managed by choice or it will be filled by default. The world needs a respected voice of moral authority. Are there any better qualified candidates than those whose creed is defined by how they treat their neighbor? Isn't the mission of Christ's followers to (feed) teach all nations? Proclaiming the good news (gospel) of our reconciliation with God provides the consolation that we can be reconciled with one another. The simple formula that measures the effectiveness of our relationship with God is found through the love we show towards our neighbor. And who is the neighbor of a good Samaritan? Is it not "all nations," the rest of the world? As believers, we must face the dilemma of representing "The Truth" in every aspect of our lives. Our personalities, posture and positions we take depict the culture and consciousness of Christianity. To deny our obligation to speak truth in love makes us irresponsible believers, converts, disciples or followers. Our calling rests in balancing the actions that define what we do for ourselves in light of what is in the best interest of our neighbor. We can chose to follow the letter of the law as the Pharisees enforced but could not fully observe themselves; or we can apply the spirit of the principle that the law represents as Jesus emphasized at the Sermon on the Mount. There is a plant (planet) called earth that needs sunshine, water, and weeding. There is a balanced between feeding the plant (planet) and maintaining the soil (environment) that must be sustained. Without the proper cultivation, crops can become crap. Who will take the lead in doing what's best for the planet (plant)? Who will plow the ground (environment) for taking root? Farming is a thankless and risk filled profession. Seeds in and of themselves do not guarantee a harvest. Farmers exercise faith. Faith has an element of applied effort. It is the harvest that makes farmers genuinely thankful for those efforts. Yes, even our plants silently appreciate the tilling, weeding, mulching and feeding we give them. With no guarantee of yield, we simply sow in faith, care in hope and reap in expectation. Which country, culture or consciousness will take care of this plant (planet)? We all require daily subsistence to survive. One earth (source) provides sustenance for us all. If we poison our soil (consciousness), we simultaneously poison ourselves (thinking). The scope of our gospel is comprehensive including all (we), not exclusive just for some (us). Does making us first make U.S. worse? The manna (mind) that we need comes from seeking it. However, we must realize that the human race has evolved mentally, scientifically, technically, and consciously. The mind set (manna) people have now is light years ahead of the competency people had in the past. In our unenlightened past, women weren't even considered to be intelligent enough to make the simplest decision and were traditionally suppressed. We wasted half of our available resources in the name of misogyny. Jesus spoke about the level of consciousness relative to the time. During the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus addressed thinking, interpretation and understanding. He referred to this by saying in past times ye were told such, but now I tell you thus. The momentum of scientific and medical advancement seems to have outpaced the demonstrations of our religious beliefs. The truth of the matter is that technological advancements have confirmed the predictions Jesus made saying, "greater works than these shall ye do." There were no x-rays, radios, guns, airplanes or pills at that time but there was rudimentary science. Every generation applies the technology of their day to the best of their understanding at that time. Remember that principles are eternal but are practiced in conjunction with the understanding of that day and time. "Think not that I have come to do away with the law, I have come to fulfill the law." Jesus never taught misogyny it is perpetuated by the limits within our thinking. Sometimes, to move forward, we need to look in the mirror and face the ugly truth of discrimination, bias and prejudice. We are born male and female and become men and woman. We start with a clean slate but muck it up over time. Life starts as an experience and is composed of such. We accumulate experiences and fill our lives with them. The interpretation of experience molds our character and consciousness. When our interpretation align with universal principles, we will discover truth. If we embrace tradition or our personal feelings above truth, we simply make our judgments right by our own standards. It is ironic that some of the teachings and practices embraced by our institutions are steeped in many old and outdated traditions. Our spiritually must grow, evolve and progress in step with technology and all other human advancements. The only thing that hinders us from applying age old principles in ways relevant to present times is misapplied beliefs and strongly held traditions. ![]() Traditions should guard the principles that guide our decisions. We should celebrate and honor traditions but only selectively follow them. The amalgamation of fresh concepts, new ideas and evolving technologies are better understood in light of the traditions they replace. Learning from the past is critical. Old traditions are the windows we study and understand the past through. The policies, laws and beliefs that were espoused and practiced formerly teach us the lessons of progress. Old traditions are generally replaced by new traditions. Some call it "radical grace" to challenge traditional teachings and interpretations. But thank goodness for the grace to be so radical that it promotes the true changes progression demands. Living in the past is counter-productive. Jesus responded to the followers of tradition emphatically. The traditions of the "elders" of that day conflicted with what Jesus taught albeit even the scriptures themselves. Jesus violated "the traditions" the priests had elevated to the status of scripture. Although they were not authoritative, disregarding them was equated with sin. This is the same problem repeated historically to this day within many of our religious institutions. To violate religious doctrine or rules has and still can result in ostracism, expulsion and even execution. From the old Crusaders to the modern day jihadist, tradition misapplied is justification for judgement. The Galileo's of today face the same type of persecution from multiple sources but that doesn't keep the earth from rotating around the sun. Anger is energy expressed emotionally. It can be expressed both internally and externally. Internal or passive anger, which is not always easily identified, may be directed towards an event, a living object or even a memory. Disappointment, doubt, failure, fear, guilt, hurt, indignation, misery, pain and regret to name a few, can all generate anger. Visible gestures, reflexes, responses and reactions may be indicators of anger. Anger has a dialogue that crosses between hurt and pain. Anger can create a tension that is comparable to a rubber band stretched out and then retracted again and again. Anger in and of itself is just like any other expression including love. How we deal with it is what this writing is all about. In the form of wrath and revenge it becomes a destructive force. In the form of expectation and motivation it works on our behalf. Anger is not one of the seven deadly sins, wrath is. Just as love is not an issue in our relationships with one another, misappropriated worship and idolatry is. Angers existence as a messenger gives us perception into the gravity of an offence. To provoke another to express anger or allow ourselves to be provoked to express anger is where we must draw the line. Anger can be triggered. One of the triggers is impatience. The frustration arising out of failure, fear, hurt and injustice without instant or anticipated resolution may cause us to express anger. Today's culture & consciousness of instant gratification spawns, develops and accepts more rage then ever before. Rage is a fight or flight response raising the adrenaline level enabling previously untapped strength and endurance. We now clearly see angers aggression within our homes, schools and government. There is a big difference between an irresistible impulse and an impulse not resisted. The lack of self control can be expressed emotionally, physically and environmentally. Without developing the coping skills to balance and counteract the effects of our "buttons being pushed" we often resort to reactive behavior. The expression, pushing my buttons, identifies and defines exactly where the power in our lives resides. Where are these buttons? Who's buttons are they? Who controls the buttons? Who do we ALLOW to push them? Why are the buttons exposed? Through repeated episodes of losing our temper a level of conditioning takes place that can justify our outbursts. Denying the power to control ourselves (the buttons) gives us an excuse and subconscious defense for inappropriate actions that may escalate out of control. It is unbecoming to impose our standards upon anyone. Calm, charm and charisma are the antidote to crass and contention. It is wrong to condone angry behavior by saying that anyone is just being him or herself. On many occasions we justify our thinking and behavior by labeling the situation as a pet peeve. So what is a pet peeve? A pet peeve is the perspective we use to give us permission to perpetrate a poor personal position. Whether it's in traffic, in comparisons, in competition or in conversation we vindicate ourselves by allowing our "pets" to do whatever they want to without consequences. Even after the damage is done we stroke the fur of our ego with excuses for the outlandish behavior exhibited by our spoiled pet. Everyone knows that if we don't train our pets they will in turn train us to accept their actions. So cleaning up behind a dog not house broken becomes ok. There should never be an acceptance of anger by anyone from anyone. As a society we have made a grave error by embracing it. Our elected officials, police officers, employers, bosses, supervisors, teachers, parents, students, children and society at large believe falsely in a God given right TO BE angry! Today we have multiple labels to describe these episodes. The labels are not as important as the culture and consciousness of its existence. Whether we call it bipolar, passive aggressive, narcissism, manic or any other name it has a component of anger involved. We must never justify any cause to act out of anger. First, second or third degree murder is still murder. There is so much more to be said about ANGER. The masks of anger are many. How we disguise or suppress its expression is a direct indication of our personal self control. We do not honor God with any expression of personal anger. Don't coin the phrase of righteous indignation, "the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God." (James 1:20) There is no such thing as righteous indignation! There is almost always some element of revenge in our anger. The desire to teach a lesson or set someone straight is simply a way to vindicate our actions. Anger caused Moses to break the first tablets of the ten commandments and kept him from entering into the promised land. (Numbers 20: 1-12) Even Moses in his anger misrepresented the nature and character of God. Believe it or not anger is one of the most unrecognized sins rooted in pride. There are no special circumstances, conditions or situations for anger. I've observed parents disciplining their children through anger, instructors correcting their students through anger and management addressing subordinates in anger. I am not alone I've included a link to another article I read regarding anger after I began writing this post. The number one principle I try to follow is that in the mouth of two or three witnesses therein truth will be revealed. Search this truth out personally. This is one of the reasons I have changed my OPINION regarding the spanking of children. Read this link. https://concordiatheology.org/2015/10/the-myth-of-righteous-anger-what-the-bible-says-about-human-anger/. So many of our habits and behaviors correlate to, connect with and are profoundly interrelated. Not being aware that we are in error denies us the opportunity to address the causes various behaviors. In conclusion anger rightly belongs to God. It is not ours to have, hold or express even if the recipients of our anger seem to rightfully deserve it. True and righteous judgement must be free from the bias of emotional involvement. This is the foundation of jury selection within our justice system. We are human BEINGS and will most certainly experience anger, but should never sanction it or glorify it in ourselves or in others regardless of the circumstance. Anger can be lethal if left untreated! Deal with it.
