see the problem form a prognosis: devise a plan to practice & promote prosperity.
There is ALWAYS a consciousness and a culture festering beneath the attitudes portrayed in the spirit of any involvement. Society today suffers from a lack of understanding of what health is all about. We put a premium on physical health while minimizing the importance of mental health. Arrested development is simply one form of a mental health issue. Overall health is measured by our ability to acquire, convert, allocate, distribute and understand the interrelated aspects of how we interact with every other connected aspect of life. The state of our overall health gauges and defines our constitution. (the substance of our existence) The condition of our complete spiritual, physical, mental, emotional and social well-being in light of the presence or absence of sickness, infirmity or disease is the aspect of health we are addressing. In fact, our health inter-relates and has an affect on the health of every person, place or thing we interact with on the planet. This may account for global warming and weather in general. ![]() It is important to make distinctions between sickness, illness, and disease. Is there a reason we use the phrases that we get sick, fall ill or have a disease? The things we do, the people we do them with and the places we hang out at affect our character. Proverbs 23:7 says "as a man thinketh so is he." Romans 1:21 declares that vain imaginations will darken a foolish heart. Are our thoughts so powerful that we become them? There is ALWAYS a GENESIS for every manifestation we experience. Sickness is usually described as a temporary state induced from external circumstances or exposure. For example: We may get sick from eating improperly stored or prepared food. People not used to boats may become Sea-Sick. A smell might be so disgusting that It makes us nauseous. Sometimes we simply get sick and tired of people and/or circumstances. Why do we usually associate sickness with our physical core, as in "sick to the stomach?" Does this apply to the brain also as in sick in the head? Illness is usually associated with a prolonged sickness or infirmity. Everyone gets sick at sometime or another but sometimes we become gravely ill. a prolonged sickness may be described as an illness but not called a disease. Situations involving prolonged or repeated stubbornness, uncontrolled temper, avoidance and selfishness may be characterized as an illness of the mind. Disease is usually considered to be an ongoing residing condition that results from an internal infiltration and occupation by sickness through illness. Many diseases have been diagnosed, understood and cured. We are still battling against many others. In fact there are all kinds of unknown diseases waiting to announce themselves to the world because we have not yet created or formed them! Nervous breakdowns, may be described as mind attacks. This pathology (a medical term for the way a disease works) is focusing primarily on mental stresses not germs or viruses. Today we have a branch of science that studies the causes, nature and effects of disease. When Macbeth pleaded with the doctors for his wife's health he asked, "Canst thou not minister to a mind diseased?" Comorbidity is the simultaneous presence of two or more conditions working in a person. In this forum we believe that comorbidity is the definitive condition in every sickness, illness or disease. It is just that science has yet to acknowledge it. Rushing and or continually being late or in a rush is symptomatic of some underlying mental dysfunction. In this new era of accelerated change, any failure to exercise patience will create anxiety and duress. When we take into account many of the miracles Jesus performed, we'll see that healing was performed on both body and spirit. The spiritual side was addressed through the teaching and preaching of his words, while the physical side was addressed through affirmations, proclamations and the laying on of hands. Here are a few examples. "Go and sin no more lest a worse thing come upon you."(John 5:14) His disciples once asked him "Master who did sin this man or his parents that he was was born blind.(John 9:2) On another occasion when Jesus healed a blind man by touching him he asked the man what he saw. When the man replied that he saw men as trees Jesus touched him once again and the "way" he saw things was also healed.(Mark 8:24) We are designed to succeed spiritually, physically and mentally. True healing is holistic. Physical remedies without addressing mental maladies is a shortsighted way of resolving issues. Before dealing with or solving a problem we must be able to properly diagnose what that problem is beyond it's symptoms. Bad behavior and thinking are traditionally addressed through instruction, training or punishment. However we cannot punish an illness whether it's psychiatric or neurological. In our arrogance and/or ignorance, is it possible that our perspectives causes us to see men as trees? Our bodies and minds function as one. Our bodies ALWAYS signal by symptoms or condition the status of mind. Our minds ALWAYS signal by thought, conversation and deeds the condition of our bodies. The first time our minds decided to smoke our bodies signaled a cough. The first time our mind decided to indulge in drinking beer our tongue signaled distaste. But soon after we learned to exercise mind over matter. Now we can drink regardless of what it might taste like. We must conclude that our bodies and mind operate in sync with one another. Violating the warnings of either will impact the other. Understanding the warnings can enhance the other. Pain, physical or emotional is a signal to the brain. How we work, exercise or practice any craft in balance with how we study, stretch, relax or massage our members signifies how interdependent all our working parts are. This gives credibility to the universal inter connectivity of all things. Our planet is connected with us and to us. we can deny or ignore global changes and warming to our own determent or we can acknowledge and appreciate our ability to create whatever conditions we desire. Do you have answers for the five questions asked in this post?
